Sam-e is present in all living cells, and is required for many biochemical reactions.It is manufactured mainly in the liver.
Sam-e is required for the production of many neurotransmitters and phospholipids.
It is also involved in the production of hormones such as serotonin and melatonin and proteins,the antioxidant glutathione and various cartilage components in the body.

Dosage
